Our Beginnings
Gravitec was founded in 1996 for the purpose of researching
and developing a new form of propulsion technology based
on asymmetrical capacitors and their phenomenon. These capacitors
while commonly believed to produce thrust solely as the
product of an ion/corona wind effect, have been found to
have an intertwined secondary phenomenon, which we will
present this year as a viable candidate for achieving propellentless
propulsion and a breakthrough in physics.
Gravitec Research
Gravitec’s research unlike other efforts has focused
almost exclusively on harnessing the secondary non ion/corona
wind effect. This is the only component of the asymmetrical
capacitor phenomenon that offered a significant improvement
over existing propulsion technology. It has not been easy
harnessing this phenomenon since the phenomenon operates
outside of the accepted physics models of propulsion.
How?
The standard model for propulsion physics limits all systems
like rockets to needing a reaction fluid, which usually
doubles as the source of energy to achieve a change in momentum.
In contrast to this method our devices operate by converting
an input of electrical energy into an almost equivalent
amount of change in the kinetic energy of the object being
propelled. This process does not require a reaction mass
so the reaction must be a product of another mechanism.
Skepticism
The rule of thumb through history is that things need to
be proven to the point of obviousness before the general
scientific community accepts a new phenomenon. We feel we’re
closely approaching that point and we hope to present our
case before the end of the year to the scientific community
and the general public.
